Cody Carlyle grew up near the coast, drawn to the water and the life it supports. But his passion for marine ecosystems felt like just that —a passion—until he found a place that helped him turn it into purpose.

Cody Carlyle’s journey
From coastal childhood to cutting-edge marine research at UNB
Growing up on the Pacific coast in British Columbia, just outside Vancouver, meant Cody spent time with his family fishing, camping and being out on the water.
